Post subject: Mighty Gorgon Leaves XS Project

Hi all.

After spending more than one year on this project, I think that my time on it is over, and I'm really sorry to announce that I'm leaving XS project.

I've worked hard for this project, and I'm really happy to see that the community has grown so much in the last year.

The reason because I leave this project is simple: personal divergencies with Bicet.

I will not go into further details explaining this.

I don't know what Bicet will decide to do with phpBB XS, but I want to thank him for giving me the opportunity to work on it, and to learn so many things about php and phpBB world. Since phpBB XS currently doesn't have a home, I've decided to continue supporting it until Bicet will decide something about XS or until a new Official XS Support site will open. So...

This site is not any more the Official Support site for phpBB XS, but will continue support it until the project will be close, moved or whatever Bicet will decide.

Now, talking about the future, I will launch another phpBB project soon... I still don't know the name of the new project, and I don't know who will be part of the new Staff... but I can say that most of the features and guidelines I've adopted in phpBB XS will be ported on it... even if I hope to be able to manage things in a different way... hopefully more efficient and organized respect of what I did in the past.

When I have some further details, I will let you know... I still have to think to several things, write down the new guidelines, recruit the Staff, design the new package... and so on... Please, do not ask me for support via PM, because now I'm really busy with this new project setup. If you need help, I hope that the Staff will find the time to help you, and when I have some spare time, I'll obviously come to support XS either.

I Think that Luca has been one of the best programmers (phpbb related) who really care something like this (XS) and phpbb in general.

I'm so sorry to see drama like this where you would least expect it. It's especially bad because all that MG has done for XS in recent time, at this point he basically is XS.

The new portal sounds promising though. I have a suggestion; Mighty Portal or phpMP in short (or maybe MphpBBP).

I wish you both thebest of luck, I will support whatever portal is the best!

Its great to see all the great work and talent brought together to make phpbbXS will find an opportunity to take phpBB and give it cool features, a great look and a great selection of mods.
