Post subject: Icy Phoenix .COM Is Going To Be Moved
Hi guys,
I would just to let you know that this site will remain closed for at least a couple of days, because I'm moving it to a new server.
After many months of bad performances and also some JS and PHP injections I have decided to shut the current hosting service and buy a dedicated server.
This new solution is costing a lot more... but I hope to definitely solve all performances issues and bad server configuration.
I will try to release a new beta before moving, so you can play with it while this site is closed.
Unfortunately I really need to close the site because I not only need to move files and db, but also I need to switch registrar, and this will cause a service blackout for a small (I hope) amount of time.
I will try to have all things sorted out before this weekend.
Stay tuned.

I await you have no problems during the moving...
Can you post the IP adress of the new server to add it to the hosts file in order we can get into the page while the DNS gets refrshed on the ISP DNS storage servers?

No... I prefer to keep the whole site closed to avoid any kind of issue with DNS and DB.

As you wish.
BTW, I was refering to our own computer IP adresses pool, not anything related to your server

Aww! And I thought it was something else -
Yep! Servers can be a pain, and I feel sorry for those here who have a lousy IP, and wonder why they have so many problems.

Well... it took more than 2 days to change two numbers in their damn DB... but now it should be all over.
I'm restoring all the features of the site right now, please let me know if this site works correctly.

Are you sure it's not a vulnerbility in Icy Phoenix? Usually JS and PHP injections are a software problem, not a server one.

Post subject: Re: Icy Phoenix .COM Is Going To Be Moved
If you are on a shared hosting and you give PHP the same level of permissions of the OWNER of files and folders, well... it is not just a fact of the software you have on your space.
I know for sure that even a vB board on the same server was affected by the same identical problem... I guess that vB and IP couldn't have the same identical security hole.
As for today I still have no evidence of known security holes for Icy Phoenix: this doesn't mean that Icy Phoenix is secure, this just means that there are no known security holes.
As I said several times, Icy Phoenix is not coded by professionals, so you may expect a lower level of reliability and security respect to other well knwon and affirmed CMS or Bullentin Boards.
If anyone should have evidence or knowledge of any security issue with this software, please contact me privately.
Thanks.
