Hi all,
I have just updated this site to the latest SVN release.

This version is still unstable, but I needed to test some things on live environment, and I have decided to take the risk on Icy Phoenix main site.

I hope everything is working in a decent way, otherwise... I'll try to fix bugs as soon as possible.

Please use the General Support forum to report all the bugs you will find here.

Here are some of the new Icy Phoenix features:

  • Cache Functions ported from phpBB 3
  • DB Class ported from phpBB 3
  • Many Core Functions ported from phpBB 3
  • Many SQL rewritten
  • Optimized templates parsing
  • Improved SEO functions all over the CMS
  • Tags feature
  • Custom BBCodes in ACP
  • New Plugins system
  • Some new AJAX functions in CMS
  • Private AJAX Chat rooms
  • Many smaller updates and features... install the SVN version to discover all of them!

phpBB 3 styles in Styles section have been updated to phpBB 3.0.6. I have also updated ColorizeIt to the brand new version which is more accurate and will allow many extra features and colorizations opportunites, go checking it!

WoW!!!!!.. Great news.. I also can't wait to see a stable version (to update my site)..
One question about this, about the templates.. Are the css files of the templates sent without the spaces between lines (i forgot the name of this xD)?. For example

this.

And another thing.. I think this could help to reduce the overall size of the page.. Are the css files sended as one or as different files in this version?..

Great Work MG!!!

I'm starting to update some topics with the TAGS.

You can check how this new feature works here:

TAGS

Tags are really powerful, but could also be really "dangerous" for SEO if not used properly... so be really careful when using them.

Hello again. After seeing how fast is a fresh copy of the new version i wanted to try it on a real database. So i made a copy of my website database and tried the svn on it, but the only thing i get is a blank page with code 200 OK (it creates cache files but doesn't show anything ...) as you can see @ http://www.nightwindworld.org/beta. Anything i could have made wrong (tried already all options in erc.php) or is it the update system (from 1.3.0.53a) not yet finished?

You need to convert your forums and categories tables after having upgraded the DB, and then empty the cache.

Unfortunately that feature will only work if you disable sessions in install.php.

I still need to check how that code works and see if I can attach that function to the DB update without compromising the rest.

Hello once again, updated to last svn version to see if you fixed the problem below and yeah, it works now! But there is still a problem, going to the forums while logged in gives a nice gzipped page (weird characters etc..) with two errors in the header

[Icy Phoenix Debug] PHP Notice: in file /forum.php on line 42: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given
[Icy Phoenix Debug] PHP Notice: in file /forum.php on line 43: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given

Have you got any idea on what may be wrong?

Thanks as always for this wonderful project

Please remember that SVN versions are not supported, even if you are invited to report bugs in the Bugs section.

Can you please open a ticket there?

Thanks.
