Post subject: [STYLE] - Milky Way
Hi All.

Here you will find Milky Way style for phpBB 3.0.12.

It should work fine with FireFox, but I guess that some features in IE are not fully accessible because of its poor CSS support.

Feedbacks and comments are really welcome. Please use this topic for bugs reporting as well.

I hope that Steffen find the time to update all translations... otherwise I'll prepare a GDK for translators.

Style updated to 1.2.0!

Hi....
One question about Milky way (just registered and I'm already getting tiring... )
I have my demo board of phpbb3 RC4. I've already installed the a Quick reply mod..
The template installed just fine.
Problem is this: Quick reply does not seem to work with milky way.. I tried to do the changes but there's difference in the code.
When I initially saw that in fact phpbb3 has 2 templates, I thought every other template that will be released will be based on them
And since mod have instructions for both subsilver2 and prosilver, I could actually install any mod on any template.
But I guess my thought was wrong
Anyway, if you would like to look into it, here is the install.txt of Quick reply (since phpbb3 is not the final release I would totally understand if you can not supply any support for this. After all my phpbb3 board is for the time beeing just for testing- it's on my localhost, not even on the internet...)

Install instructions for prosilver

I guess it isn't difficult to install it on Milky Way... try to follow the instructions for subSilver2.

You need to apply only 3 small edits to template files... what did you not find?

The real problem was that it was not appearing as it should.... AND...

OK, now I feel a real idiot
I had made all the changes and I could bet my life that it was messing up the whole page..
I just re-did the changes and it seems fine...

Sorry for the trouble....

OK, a correct (I hope) question:
Is there a way I can change this style's width (not beeing fixed width)

One small request...
When having subforums displayed on index, in prosilver theme there is a small icon beside the subforum's name which changes to red in case there are unread posts inside a specific subforum..
Can you tell me how to add similar icons in your template, too, so that I can - at a glance- understand which subforum has the unread posts???
Or maybe how to change the subforum's name color in case there are unread posts??
Thanks a lot!!

I just didn't want to release a new update only for this. I hope you can wait some extra days.

Thanks.

Post subject: Re: [STYLE] - Milky Way
I found something strange
When you try to reduce the window's width, it will reduce until a point
Then it starts showing the horizontal scrolling bar

When I log out I can reduce the page much more
This happens with both Firefox and IE7

If I use a different style , I have the same behaviour when I'm logged in or out...

Question?
Is there somewhere where you can declare templates minimum width????

Post subject: Re: [STYLE] - Milky Way
I have made custom topic icons (topic read, topic unread, topic locked, etc.) for my forum. They are larger than the images in the style. The style is resizing them to its smaller size.

What do I have to change to get it to allow them to be the size I created them?

I have tried going through:
view forum body
stylesheet

but i am obviously missing something LOL because I havent figured it out yet!

any help?

Hi, there, MG...
Would it be too much of a trouble to post here the changes from RC5 to RC7 ??
So that I won't have to redo all mod's changes to all of the template files...

In RC 1 have been so many changes in some files, as we have changed some modifications for others that have more fuctions or other interface that could atract more to the users. That make us impossible to relase the template quicky.

Hi.

Great theme. Been using it for a while.

I am using phpBB3 RC8 with MilkyWay RC8. Now i wanna upgrade from RC8 to Gold. But i've done a couple of changes in the theme. So was wondering if you could put up an Upgrade Manual also to convert from MilkyWay RC8 to Gold.

Thanks. TC

Hi, there, MG...
I was wondering if you could help me with something, because no matter what I try I can't make it to work..
Anyways, I'm using the altered Milky Way theme I made (Mentioned here in case you don't remember.)
I also installed evil's quick reply mod . Since your style uses additional stuff (for that nice -red in my case - image with the rounded corners on top, I also looked at viewtopic_body.html which helped me to add this in posting_qr_body.html, as well.
So the result is as it should be. Here is a screenshot:

qrfull

The problem is that this way the quick reply body uses width at 100%
I want it to be 60% of the whole page wide, so I altered its width to 60%. The quickreply body shrinked at 60% but the cornered images that you use remain at 100%

Here is a screenshot:

qr60

Any way you can offer an idea on this?

Here is my posting_qr_body.html, in case you need it..

Code: [Hide]
  1.
  2. <script type="text/javascript">
