phpBB 3 MODS And Styles (Not Compatible With phpBB 3.1) - Black Pearl Polls Help

Hello.

I upgraded our phpBB board to 3.0.6 and now the polls don't work. I get this message 'The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.' If I change to prosilver everything works ok. I tried using the latest version of BP but that didn't help and the page banners also disappeared. So I went back to the version of BP that was used when the board was created about 14 months ago.

Thanks for any help

PS the site is http://lazynutters.com/phpBB3/index.php

Did you upgrade also Black Pearl to latest version?

Can you try to refresh the template files again please?

Hi, thanks for putting me in the right place

Yes, I installed the latest Black Pearl, by renaming the old one and then uploading the new one, but it gave me problems so I went back. When I refreshed the template it also gave me ageneral error about opening some text file.

The phpBB forums gave me this advice:

as you have no MODs, try this

*NOTE: Before proceeding backup all files and the database.*

* Upload all new files from a download of the full version, except for config.php, the /images and /files folders.
* Go to yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php
* Let that run and then delete the install folder.
* You now have a new up to date board containing all your users and posts but without any MODs that you might have had installed.

But as you might have guessed I'm a comlete noob with this stuff.

Thanks so far

Instructions seems to be quite clear, what are you not able to perform?

I'll give it a go. I just don't want to 'break' anything. A friend started the site and my over helpfull self has landed the job of looking after the forums. He gave me ftp access and stuff, so I guess I'll give it a try. Perhaps if I upload the fresh instal to a new directoy first I can prepare it all before using it.
