Old Support Topics - Custom Avatar Sizing

Hi again:

I'm making the final tests to move from my old phpBB2 board to a new Icy Phoenix one and I found a couple of problems with the custom avatar sizes.

1 - If I change the standard 80x80 on the ACP, it seems it doesn't get the change and it still resize and shows to the 80x80 format, when the most logic thing is that it could do it to the new dimensions (100x100).
2 - If I try to change de "$avatar_width" and "$avatar_height" values to 100, or decommenting the commented part in the functions.php, it returns the following error:

Code: [Hide] [Select]
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /mysite/torre_fenix/includes/functions.php on line 2468

I tried clearing cache and that kind of things like making sure the avatar is not external. Any solutions to this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

If you change the settings in ACP you can upload bigger avatars.

But the ones you have already uploaded will not be changed

So, try maybe 100x100 and upload your new Avatar (100x100), that should work fine.
Maybe clear chache after that.

I'd swear I tried that on several times and didn't work, but this time it seems it did!

Where's the Upload Avatar option in the Member Profile? I've enabled the "Allow Upload Avatar" on the ACP and I've been searching on the Avatar Control Panel (Member Profile), but only shows the following options: Link External Avatar, Gravatar, Galleries and Generator.

EDIT:

I've just seen that in this site these options are added on the Avatar Control Panel as "Upload Avatar from your machine:" and "Upload Avatar from a URL:" but these aren't showed on mine, and the Upload option is enabled, I can't understand

I guess that was the problem. Thanks!

first option in avatar control panel is upload avatar from your maschine

Yep, that's what I did, but it seems it doesn't show the option. Maybe it's a template issue.

what y see is that you based your template on MG_Icy theme.

since youve only changed backround and Menu there shouldn´t be a template problem.

have you tried with another template just for test???

try using original MG_theme for test only. if the problem persists its located somewhere else.

but it should be the easyest way to figure out.

edit.
I just saw one thing in my site .

Go to ACP-FORO. CONFIGURACION GENERAL DEL FORO.
in the downpart theres an option PERMITIR SUBIR AVATAR. check it.
config_1236381630_400739

you see whatr i mean ??

I guess it should be a template issue, there's a lot of time passed since I made modifications to them and it's possible I changed something. I'll try and I'll be back
