Is the new forum categorized? Did you create it as a category instead of a forum?

You'll know if it's a category without a forum by noticing the "(Category)" parenthesis around the category name. It may also help to clear the cache.

Please check that you have the correct CHMOD permissions to all files... especially to def_* if you are running 1.2.0.27

You should know what the chmod requirements of your server are and NOT follow blindly for IP (or any other server software for that matter) by chmodding to 0777 when the server may reject those permissions with the error message "Access Denied - Open to all".

MOST servers use chmod 0755, unless you're on one of the U'Beaut Free servers who don't give a damn for anything.

If you LOOK at the chmod for anything else you have installed on "Your" server and they "are" 0777, then chmod IP recommended folders the same - Else leave them at 0755.

And when you have finished working it out and installing it - Chmod config.php to 644.

And please try to be a "little" more informative about what you are doing, where you are trying to do it and with what version of Icy Phoenix you are trying to install.

No-one minds helping - But none of us are very good at guessing either what you have come up against - Or what your expertise is.
