I have a user that keeps getting banned everytime he tries to post something. He states that what he is trying to post is rather large (what that means, I am not sure).

Is there a limit of how much someone can post at one time?

Or is there something else going on?

Thanks,

Dave

Banned ? oO
Blocked, ok ... But banned for posting isn't possible. Check if you enabled " no bump within 24h " ( if last poster ) which disallow you to reply a topic when you also are the last poster before 24h.
Try to check too your flood limit in your ACP > Configuration > Site :
[codeblock]Flood Interval
Number of seconds a user must wait between posts
Search Flood Interval
Number of seconds a user must wait between search requests[/code]
Posts themself haven't rly a text limit ( something like 5'000 char ) but when it's too large, it doesn't ban or block you ...

That is highly unlikely. He is not that computer savvy.

Have a look at Ctracker adjustments.

There is something like spam protection . disable that function and have your user try again

ACP > CrackerTracker>Log Manager

crackertracker_logmanagement

ACP > CrackerTracker>Log Manager>Blocked Spammers

blocked_spammers

ACP>CrackerTracker>Settings

spamprotection

I guess I need to turn off the Spammer Detection under settings? Is that correct?

Hmmmm ... Seems strange because there's only a 30s ban with that feature ... Mb try to set " Spammer Logsize " to 400ko ( the max ) and see if it change something. But if you don't need it, disable it and see if it solve your prob.
