Post subject: Scrolling Topics On Index Page Question
My url is: http://tgntriat.org/
Version: 2.0.2.88

on the index page there is a scrolling topic window. I am trying to see if there is a way to increase the amount of topics shown from 10 to 15 or 20 but I can't seem to locate where (if any) this setting is.

Help?

Hi Obie,

This is something you need to manage in the CMS.
On your index page (and logged in as an admin), you'll find an "edit this page" link at the bottom.
Click it, then you'll see all the blocks displayed on the page. You should see a block named something like "Recent [...]" (for me, it's "Recent [2]"). At the very right, you should see a pen that says (when hovered) "edit parent block".
Click on this pen, and you'll be displayed with a first option (non-specific settings) list. Submit this one if you don't want to change it, then you'll get onto the "block settings" (settings specific to this very block).

In this one, change Number of recent topics.

Note if you use the block more than once: at you're changing a global block, this will affect every instance of this block. If this block is only placed once, all is fine. If not, and if you don't want to change the settings everywhere this block appears, you'll want to create a new "Parent Block" with the "Block File" on "recent_topics [Recent Topics]" ;-).
