What's New Respect To Latest Stable Release

PHP: increased compatibility with recent PHP versions
Plugins System: improved with new functions and features
New Classes: to improve coding and modding
Templates: few edits to templates functions and parsing, prepared for HTML 5
Thanks System: has been removed in favour of Likes System which supports AJAX and offers more flexibility.
Album and Links: have been removed as core components and created as plugin.
Cookies And Privacy Policy: due to new web rules, these two new sections have been created.
Many smaller updates and features... install this beta version to enjoy them all!
Old templates: please note that templates designed for Icy Phoenix 2.0.0.86 (or older) won't work with this version. Update versions for all my styles are available here: Icy Phoenix Styles. Also you may want to keep monitored styles on GIT: Icy Phoenix Styles @ GIT. Translations: please note that lang packs for Icy Phoenix 2.0.0.86 won't work with this version. Lang packs need to be updated before you can use them on your site. I will update all lang files in download section as soon as translators will send me their latest release. You can find latest development translations here: Icy Phoenix Languages @ GIT. Customizations And Mods: please note that this version has many core code differences from the previous one, so it is really unlikely that old customizations and mods will work on this beta release. Not avaliable new version? Sorry. ----------------------------------- Mighty Gorgon Sat 01 Jul, 2017 22:24 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 -----------------------------------
Not avaliable new version?
There are few updates on GitHub version... There will be no major updates anytime soon. :mri: ----------------------------------- Informpro Tue 04 Jul, 2017 16:46 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- The next update will have login via Google, a beginning of a plugin system for willing MOD authors, a few goodies, and a lot of fixes. I have a MOD I made (converted) that doesn't require any code changes – like phpBB3.1 extensions :). BTW MG, you think you can take a look at https://github.com/MightyGorgon/icy_phoenix_plugins/pull/54 at some point? ----------------------------------- Mighty Gorgon Mon 10 Jul, 2017 23:27 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- 5860, for some reasons I totally missed this PR. I'll accept it soon. ----------------------------------- Cristianita Thu 03 Aug, 2017 18:15 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- Hi, Luca! I still like this foro, but I dare not try to start this project because I hardly know anything about programming, and my English is not good  I'll just come and admire it from time to time. ----------------------------------- ronalito Sat 05 Aug, 2017 17:23 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- And I can not install it? But I can't handle too much of codes because I don't know... how do you say? Programming? I fear to misconfigure the forum, and then not knowing how to fix it  I'm going to pray for an administrator with two characeristics:

Speak English very well.
Know programming
At this time, I have a forumactif forum (foroactivo in Spanish). Can you imagine? Already I blew it! Technicians don't know where is the fail! No, my dear friend... It could be very frustrating if I spoil a forum of icyphoenix  When God provide me my partner, you bet I'll come back to get this beautiful forum! ----------------------------------- Informpro Mon 14 Aug, 2017 16:54 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- Don't worry too much about the programming part, we can help with that, usually it's not too complex. ----------------------------------- Cristianita Sun 20 Aug, 2017 21:39 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- Thank you, Informpro :mryellow: You are encouraging me! :girl_02: ----------------------------------- Cristianita Tue 29 Aug, 2017 10:50 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- Well, this is the situation: I have a forum in forumactif (foroactivo in spanish), it's free and really easy to manage. We use to install some JavaScripts codes to get modifications that aren't in Administration Panel; but lately I have a problem with one of them, because some user registered in my forum escaping the JavaSCript that limit the length of characters of nicks. This is one example, but I had others problems with this codes. Now I know that JavaScripts are like a door in the middle of an open field! Because now browsers can lock JavaScripts and what it's the point? They are like a joke! So I have to ask: Do you need sometimes to install JavaScripts in IcyPhoenix forum? ----------------------------------- Informpro Tue 29 Aug, 2017 11:01 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- No, not really. Icy Phoenix has a lot more customization settings than forumactif (Which I know pretty well because it's french), and also has a system of plugins: Someone can write some code to do what you want, and you'll just install it in the plugins/ folder. Much easier to maintain. ----------------------------------- Cristianita Tue 29 Aug, 2017 20:00 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- Thanks so much, Informpro... I'm considering to move my forum, but not in a free hosting. Any suggestion? ----------------------------------- Informpro Tue 29 Aug, 2017 22:58 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- I only have servers I share with other people nowadays. Maybe others can chime in, I'm not sure where MG got this server :-). For free "trial" (in that they aren't very good) host, you can try 000webhost.com - I know it's one I used to deploy some temporary websites. ----------------------------------- Cristianita Wed 30 Aug, 2017 00:30 Re: Icy Phoenix 2.2 ----------------------------------- You're right, I can try to start in 000webhost.com, I have an account there.
