Convert Icy Phoenix To phpBB?
-----------------------------------
Well I am trying to do that but it doesn't work.

I have got 1.3.0.53a and I want to do it because I want to try vbulletin.

I want to convert to phpbb2 and then to vbullentin, but I have got this error:

Re: CONVERSION - How To Convert Icy Phoenix To PhpBB 3
-----------------------------------
you can port Icy .53 directly to PhpBB3. there´s a script for doing that.

It consists to install PhpBB3 clean on a subfolder off your IP root for example, afterwards upload the requiered script to PhpBB/install/converters and go to install again.

there you select conversion. select the IP converter and run it

fill the requiered data in and wait to the time the script finishes.

afterwards check, that everything was portet, by checking your PhpBB forum.

Be aware, that you´ll lose installed Mods and they´re Data

Re: CONVERSION - How To Convert Icy Phoenix To PhpBB 3

you configure a new BD, leaving the IP one intact

prefix does´nt matter, since during conversation, prefix will be changed or imported.

on the conversion page, you´ll be asked for the User , pass and prefix of your IP bd

conversion takes about 20 minutes, if you got a medium sized BD ( lets say 100mb)

One thing. after conversion, you´ve got to rebuild search tables via PhpBB admin panel

Re: CONVERSION - How To Convert Icy Phoenix To PhpBB 3

Yes, because your IP database remains untouched and unchanged.

you can run the PhpBB on a separed domain or subdomain.

But , if you post something in PhpBB , the ip wan´t be updated with that and viceversa

well I have got a lot of problem to convert my icy-phoenix forum to vbulletin.

First I converted to phpbb3 and then to vbulletin, but it doesn't work well.

In phpbb3 I haven't avatars for example, and smiles.

Version 1.0.0 of the Icy Phoenix to phpBB3 convertor is attached. This convertor was written for Icy Phoenix version 13053a. I don't believe it is compatible with earlier versions of Icy Phoenix. Icy Phoenix 13053a has many of the features of phpBB3 and most of these will be converted over to phpBB3.

Many of the Icy Phoenix BBCodes will be added automatically by the convertor. Some I was not able to do because they require additional javascript files or additional MODs, e.g., albums.

Optional is the conversion of Genders. If you would like Genders converted, you will need to install the Gender MOD. If not installed, the convertor will skip converting genders.

Maybe i ask TheKuka where this was.

I don't see where Dicky has abandoned something he claims copyright for - Maybe someone just stole it and posted it on .es. :?:

@ Anakin

THIS Forum has been converted from IP 1.3.0.53b to PHPBB3.

even Avatars have been imported.

The style is the basic style for PhpBB, since we further converted to VB.

Has been converted and the video (youtube, google ?) ?

And some special edit from the editor (fonts? size? colour)?
