CMS Blocks Management Problem

I am trying to add "Blog" to the top menu with a link to and external directory.  I have followed the example at [url=http://www.icyphoenix.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4875&highlight=edit+templates]Documentation and How To:  Icy Phoenix 1.2.0.27c Add Extra Link To Top Menu To Another Site  however it did not work.
