Re: 500 Internal Server Error
-----------------------------------
I wanted to make a comment here, because I had this same problem, but it seems to have gone away since my host updated PHP and they have not found anything of severe consequence in the server log files, either.

My main concern here, though, is your suggestions for fixing the error, Lopalong. The install.txt instructions say nothing about putting IP in a separate folder (i.e. whether it's forum or whatever you decide to name it). And, since IP is supposed to be a CMS built around forum software, one would assume that it could be installed in the root of your site. Though, after rereading the readme.html file, it does say to put IP in a separate folder, so there is some conflicting instructions here.

My suggested "fix," if the .htacces file was not designed with this in mind, then the developer(s) should make it work this way. Due to my limited knowledge with how websites work, I have been trying to extensively research how .htacess files work on a webserver, to maybe eliminate this problem myself, instead of moving my site into a subfolder. But, I'm not technically savvy enough, yet, with how websites truly work and I consider myself incredibly knowledgeable with all sorts of technology. Also, my free time is actually quite limited, at the moment, sadly.

Please, don't take this as me being rude. It is not my intention. A good support tech (though I know you probably give support during your free time) would be trying to find a solution without creating more work for the end user to resolve the issue. This is only my opinion, so please do not be offended.
