More Than 30.000 Queries Per Hour

Hi to all!
I have followed [url=http://www.icyphoenix.com/viewtopic.php?t=75]this thread on how to reduce sql charge on server but with an average of 20 users in less than a hour I get the error from my hosting that I have reached 30.000 queries. Is it possible or I did a mistake on the configuration of the board or of the MySQL db?
I remember that with the only phpBB I have never got this error.
