Second parameter is only supported in PHP 5 or above. I won't add that until PHP 4 is still alive. Unfortunately many hosting services still use PHP 4.

Subject: Re: Icy Phoenix 1.3.0.53
Adding one parameter more is not a problem: PHP 4'll just ignore it.

I will release it officially soon... in the meantime you can test the RC version of the patch in the Patch section.

Make sure you have an "@" before that function, because new version of XAMPP has very severe rules about warnings.

The function should result like this: @set_magic_quotes_runtime(0)

I don't have that warning anymore in XAMPP.

Another way is to limit the output of warning by acting on the error reporting feature.

I knew how to fix it. The point I was making is that the bug still exists and I assume will block anyone from installing IP to a server with php5 installed. Because I did note that it does not have the @ before the functions in the latest 53a download; but was fixed in the patches I believe. :?:

And I do assume of course that the "Main" .53a download contains all of the upgrades that are posted in the Patch file Thread.

Subject: Re: Icy Phoenix 1.3.0.53a
I have that in my patch files, but I will check again to make sure.

Edit: I have just checked both patch files and new pack and they have the "@" in front of that function. Are you sure to have downloaded the right package?

Mmmm. I downloaded it yesterday from the links on page 1 of this thread.

h**p://***.icyphoenix.com/dload.php?action=file&file_id=171 Was as slow as hell. :(

So I downloaded it from the second mirror, which I note has now been removed.

Maybe that was the problem. ?

It doesn't matter, as I only wanted to test a phpbb script that was made/modified for something else and I was curious if it would work out of the box with Icy Phoenix.

Subject: Re: Icy Phoenix 1.3.0.53a
You are right, Mirror 1 was not updated yet, because I'm having problems in updating SourceForge package (they changed something and my login data doesn't allow me to upload files any more!).

Please download it again.

Thanks.

I thought that opting for the mirror rather than dload.php was probably a mistake, - - - - But!

I'm having a lot of fun these days setting up a local "pseudo" internet for my younger grandchildren with html and a some fudged script that makes them think they're on the internet; and that's keeping me pretty busy.

They love it, as much as I love them - - - So me and Icy Phoenix are on hold at the moment until they yell out "Pop! this is all too complicated"

He he he, better playing with grandchildren than Icy Phoenix... I would have done the same if I had grandchildren. :mri:

The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Are you using EasyPHP right?

Try using XAMPP.
