Icy Phoenix 1.1.8.23
|
Hi all,
this site has been upgraded to Icy Phoenix 1.1.8.23 which contains now several important upgrades.
I need some days to test that everything works fine and then I'll release another RC for translators and fine tuning so we may hopefully go final in few weeks.
If you experience some errors, please, contact me or write in the forum.
What's new...
- Added a buddy list
- Added album pics and downloads to Google Sitemap
- Created RSS block
- Recoded some parts of the UCP to limit files inclusions and trying to optimize CPU charge
- Recoded some ACP modules for better organization
- Edited some CSS colors for MG Themes
- Some bugs fixes

I don't know what's happening (and if is a .8.23 problem either), but IP today is tooooooo slow.... very slow. And it's not my connection (i've checked twice).
And at overall_header, its keeping a very large space BTW my browser and IP logo (about 100 pixels). And its in any template, but don't show any visible error.
And... downloads have a problem at friday afternoon, but i don't remember the error, sorry (but was in page_start.php).
Kisses!

phpBB2. As MG said several times, most probably, IP will never run on phpBB3, but if he will change idea, you will know surely!

Hi there!
Is the update to Icy Phoenix 1.1.8.23 the reason of today's down of the italian support?

Here in Spain it's working all right
Look at the footer, the Page Generation Time. Is it over or under 2 seconds?
If it's under maybe the problem is your internet provider, or the hosting that MG uses. Just try to navigate in other IcyPhoenix boards to test, if they all are slow, maybe your computer or your internet provider are not working properly.
If it's over it might be a temporary slowdown in the server speed, or in icy phoenix engine.

If I try to browse some brazilian site it's probably that I see them slow, and the same thing can happen to you. It's enough that one international node is slow, that you will see slow all site beyond Ocean. It's normal and it not depends from new version. Anyway can happen that Aruba (italian hoster that host this site) is slow, but only for few minutes or seconds.
I have 2 bugs for Icy Phoenix. The first is not a bug, but I ask to MG one way to solve this situation. A couple of users has signal this problem to italian support site too, and it concern the activation by Hotmail e Winodows Live users by click on activation key. This page will shown (from this site):
On my site I have to activated a lot of users manually, because they don't read the mail, where there is a message to past the link in the browser. But there is a little bug anyway on activation process:
The user is activated but an error will shown. Bye
