Post iCis - First iPhone Application Based On Icy Phoenix

Hi all,
I'm proud to announce that we have released today the first application for iPhone/iPod/iPad based on Icy Phoenix.

This application at the moment is in Italian only (because all contents are in Italian!) but if you love Italian Food you can have a look anyway.

The goal of the application is to share recipes and other contents published by users in the Italian community CucinaInSimpatia. You can use the application to access the content:
  • By Category
  • By Author
  • By Keyword/Tag

You can also filter recipes to show "gluten free" only or add any recipe to favourites.

All contents are published in the site through Icy Phoenix, I have coded the API to access the content directly online, so everything will be always up to date. It's a good test to eventually publish further applications based on Icy Phoenix.

If you have time or if you are interested, feel free to try the application.

Thanks,
Luca Libralato

Did you coded it MG? I was thinking on coding the IPhone application for all sites which has Icy Phoenix Installed. If you need any help, here is an IOS software developer.

Translation is so easy with Xcode. A bit similar as you did with IP.

Hopefully I will find someone willing to help in coding for Android...

Nope... read only, because it is a recipes site, it's just a show off for all the content.

Hehehe

Iphone 3G is limited on 4.2.1 no highter firmware possible
But not problem, you dont need to care about such old phones... I understand that

Anyway, I had a Ipod touch for repairing homebutton and backcamera at home.
So I could have a quick look at iCis.
Great work

One thing I missed: Top rated topics (meals)
I know that all is a lot of work and iCis is version 1.0
So it could be a suggestion for next version.

Unfortunately there is no rating to recipes... because in the past there was a lot of competition and we decided to avoid topics rating.

But thanks for the suggestion.
