Why Is The Post Count...

Subject: Why Is The Post Count...
Why is the post count disabled in this forum?

Subject: Re: Why Is The Post Count...
Well one might think why should you gain post count in this section whilst you are not doing anything concerning the project.

Also, does post count really matter? (A truly succeeding community is one where PC doesn't matter to the people)

I'm not worried bout the post count. I was just confused as to why it was disabled.

A ton of posting goes on in the off topic forums. There really isn't a need to enable post count in this forum. You'll also notice post count is disabled in a few other forums too.

You can post as much as you like in the off topic forums and welcome to Icy Phoenix by the way! I hope you are able to use the software!

Thanks and I love this software. I hate normal phpBB as you have to add style edits for MODs into every single theme you have. With this, its all done for you. :)

The only offside to this software is it doesn't support phpBB3. :(

Let's be totally honest here.

Take a basic installation of phpBB3 and compare it to any basic installation of Icy Phoenix. It's like comparing a state fair to Disney World.

phpBB3 may have a ton of MODS that have been released for it's use, but when you install all those MODS you take a risk of something not being compatible. With Icy Phoenix, there are a ton of MODS pre-installed that are guaranteed to work. A basic installation of phpBB3 has many features Icy Phoenix does not have, but a basic installation of Icy Phoenix has many more features phpBB3 doesn't have.

Icy Phoenix is still a new project, many years younger than phpBB. Great things are still possible and coming to Icy Phoenix. Just buckle up and get ready for the ride!
