Custom Profile Field With An Default Path To A Website

Subject: Custom Profile Field With An Default Path To A Website
Hi

My users play online games with Stats, like Battlefield. There are some websites wher they can look at the Stats.

Now i want to add a Custom Profile Field with a default Path ( the user can not edit this path ) Like "http://www.spieler-daten.de/bf2_stats/" and the user give his own PID like "71140790"

All together its like that Url "http://www.spieler-daten.de/bf2_stats/71140790" and the Link is shown under his Sig or Avatar. ( My BF2 Sats )

I Cant explain it very well but i hope u can help me

Great idea! I'd like something like this to display my user's Xbox 360 Blog. It should work the same way.

What I can suggest is duplicating one field in profile and use that to add the new image.

It will be easier than adding a custom profile fields, because you cannot control all the output, unless you code a new field type and you hardcode the path in it.

To duplicate a field already present you just need to duplicate all the occurrencies you find and then work on the output in the template.

If you can start creating a tutorial on this I will then help in completing it and I will add in the Docs section for the benefits of all.

Some tips are here:

I know that it is an Italian topic, but you have just to look at the code... but remember that those changes are not all.

Good luck.
