Post Hello All Need A Little Help With REWRITE Mod.

Here's the deal I decided to change from Windows XP to Suse Linux 10 and now I am having a problem with the REWRITE mod again. same problem as before 404 errors. All I did was copy all the files from my original install including the .htaccess file that MG gave me. From a former post HERE I have mod_rewrite enabled.

My current configuration is:
Suse Linux 10
Apache/2.0.54 (Linux/SUSE) - installed by YAST
PHP 5.0.4 - installed by YAST
MySQL version 4.1.13 - installed by YAST

Any help that I could get would be most appreciated.

Is mod rewrite configured in your Apache server?

A quick and easy way of checking is just to run phpinfo()... e.g.
<?php
phpinfo()
?>
This will show the entire Apache configuration (check "Loaded Modules"), as well as everything else useful - like whether gd is enabled...
