Let me explain how this feature work...

First: do not bump your post... I read every single post here... and sooner or later I'll try to help you if I can... but you have to be patient!

Now let's go on with the explanation

!

Show In Portal function has been created to show some topics in portal. This feature must be used in conjunction with FORUM or FORUM_ATTACH block in portal.

If you enable one of these blocks (FORUM_ATTACH is better!) and you configure the forums where the topics should be fetched, then only topics with SHOW IN PORTAL flagged will be shown in portal.

I've used this feature to create some advertisements forums... to allow users to insert topics in portal with some limitations... only your fantasy is the limit on how you can use this switch...
