I search for a tutorial where i can edit a psd file for buttons in all color variations.

i have download your psd file, all color variations are inclusive but how must i work to make buttons for my own website?

Is there a step by step tutorial that tells me how it works?

It's a Photoshop file... so you should look for a Photoshop tutorial!

There are tons of Photoshop tutorial in the web... just try looking for them using Google!

Why don't you just load a gif file from ca_aphrodite in photoshop and edit it? You don't need any special file like a psd document with all the layers saved in it. In photoshop you can select a region (e.g. text) using, e.g. magic wand and convert it into a mask, so that changes only go to the surrounding area. But thats not even worth it - when I make my own buttons, I insert my own text as well, so I can use a font like neuropol. To remove old text, just use eyedropper to get the colour of surrounding area and do a fill/rectangle.
