Hi Limun,

I am afraid it did not work, however it pointed me in a different direction.

in the file /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini on my server there is a memory limit which was set to 16M, change privelages to the php.ini file , change 16M to 24M, reset CHMOD to 644 and wallah !!

SORTED

Thanks all you guys.

It is better to change or add a ini file, rather than have to upgrade any IP file when there is an update etc. Because you only have to do it once.

Adding ini changes to IP core files just does not make sense to me I'm afraid.

@ Andy - Glad you sorted it out. And by the same token - Search "Memory" would have answered your problem in the first instance - Please consider using it in future, and not go off topic with two different questions in the same thread.

Sorry Guys

I am afraid its not quite solved, website looks ok, feels ok until you go into forums,

front page of forums is ok, however if i click on any category i get

The requested URL /ScotBird_Forum_V1/test-forum-1-vf1.html was not found on this server.

message.

I am still waiting on my domain registering with the new host and i am still using the IP convention - http://94.102.154.210 as the site name instead of www.scotbird.co.uk which is still active on my old server until full had over is completed.

Can this be what is causing the problem, ie IP addy as opposed to domain name ??

Appreciate any help

regards

.
