SOLVED Disabling Links For Guests?
Subject: Disabling Links For Guests?
I know i can disable html for guests but this only seems to disable signatures on the forum. Is there is a way in IP 1.2.0.27 disable the links but all viewing the post for guests? I have seen while viewing a few forums you can read the entire post but any links posted you had to be a registered member to view.

If you are wanting to disable HTML links for guests only,
ACP -> Configuration -> Icy Phoenix -> Posting and Messages -> Disable HTML links for guests: YES.
I hope that was what you were asking. I got a little confused with your issue. :)

That only seems to disable signature links it doesn't seem to disable links in post itself? Perhaps it is because the links are bbc? This is what I am trying to block from guest not signatures. Does this make sense?

Odd.
I disabled HTML links for guests on my site and signatures still work:

Try ACP -> Configuration -> Icy Phoenix -> Posting and Messages -> Enable all BBCodes: YES.
Clear your cache and see if that works.

Thank you. Clearing the cache fixed the issue. I couldn't figure out why it was only refusing the allow for signature links before but was still showing the other links. Now they are working fine if not logged in. :mryellow:

Well I thought the problem was solved but when I post a new topic and link it doesn't state you have to be registered to view. Now if I go in and clear cache it does, but does this mean I will have to clear the cache everytime I post a new thread with a link?
Subject: Re: SOLVED - Disabling Links For Guests?
Since you have the site cached in your browser, this will be normal for you. Guests, however, will not see HTML links even if you post a new topic with HTML links.

Well I thought that too but I am looking at the forum in a completely different browser and it is still showing new posts with the link visible.
Here is an example I left without clearning cache so you could see what I am referring to.

That's weird how links are disabled in your signature, but not in the message body. It should be totally reversed unless you are displaying images down there.
Try this:
ACP -> Configuration -> Icy Phoenix -> Posting and Messages -> Disable precompiled posts -> YES.

There is a banner in the signature. I did the disable precompiled posts YES and it seems to have remedied the problem.
