Problem Setting Up Sql At Install.

Subject: Problem Setting Up Sql At Install.
I have
PHP version 5.2.9
MySQL version 5.0.81-community
on my server and while trying to install i get the following error

The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes

After that i copied the file with the type changed to MyISAM

Then again while trying to install i get this error

An error occurred trying to update the database
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '=MyIsam' at line 1

Tried replacing with
)TYPE=MyISAM;
and
)TYPE = MyISAM;
How do i fix this. :( :(

Is this "localhost" on your PC, and if so - what are you using - XAMPP - SLAMPP etc ?

Sorry! I should have also asked:

Free Hosting or Paid Hosting?

If it's FREE, would you like to tell us who the host is please? ;)

Subject: Re: Problem Setting Up Sql At Install.
Its Free hosting from atbhost.net

i have my own paid reseller hosting but was lazy to do all the transfer.

Thank You,

Most FREE hosting is not suitable for Icy Phoenix because they have all sorts of blockers in place that either restrict the user, or the applications they try to use. :(

Your problem is with your FREE host, and I doubt if anyone here will want to run with your problem in attempting to patch it etc - because we've been through it so many times before, and seldom if ever was it resolved because of those restrictions.

This is the info on the server. please check it if something is missing.

I can only suggest that you initially take this up with your host as they are providing the service that is restricting your installation of Icy Phoenix.

Please consider that no-one else has had this problem, and I doubt if any of them use a free host.

For your info - Your host is using Suhosin:

Quote:
Will my application break because Suhosin is too restrictive?

Some people fear that the protections implemented by Suhosin are too restrictive for their applications and that after installing it, their applications stop working. Therefore Suhosin comes with a special configuration option: suhosin.simulation. When this is enabled Suhosin will continue logging violated rules but the actual blocking will not be performed.

How can I find out the problem when my application breaks?

The Troubleshooting section should answer all questions regarding this question.

Are there any compatibility problems with applications?

In the Troubleshooting section you will find information about all incompatibilities we know about. It will list the Configuration switches that might be needed to get a certain application working correctly.

Thanks for the support guys

so if Suhosin is present i will not be able to get it to work right.

What about rewindd.net i have a hosting with them and they are paid. and i can ask them to add a feature as they have great support.

OT: I'm not a 100% sure what Suhosin is all about? But from what I've read it appears that it can be used to add certain restrictions to the server etc. If they have done this to obstruct certain functions - Then I suppose any other discussion on this host is pointless. ;)

But! You do have the option to take this issue up with them - If you want to continue with them as your provider.
