Hi All,
I'm trying to upgrade my 1.2.0.27c installation => 1.3.0.53a, I get everything except this part done :
"This feature will allow you to fix all posts in your forums. You can use this feature to: find and replace any text in your posts, remove all BBCode UID, automatically adjust the address of posted images."
When I try to adjust the address of posted images all I get is : Error in editing posts...
Everything else is fine, 7K+ posted images were moved ok but the post editing just fails, no errors in the server logs. I have 87K+ posts, could this large amount be causing the problem?
Cheers,
Bob

Do you get the error as soon as you click the link or just after some posts editing?
Which options did you enable?

Hi MG,
The error displays immediately, no messages are shown as being fixed.
The only option enabled is "automatically adjust the address of posted images".

Bob

Can you try to perform the update on a local DB? It may be easier to check for errors.
It's not easy for me to understand where the error is without looking at the original DB.

Hi Luca,
I've been pondering this a bit, if I don't move the files to the new structure and I don't update the DB for the images paths but I do copy the files to the same positions in the upgraded site as the old then all the old posts should display images correctly and all the new posts made after the upgrade will do also as when images are uploaded the new path will be written in the post and the files will be placed in the new structure.
Correct?
Cheers,
Bob

I remember having the same problem when updating to .53 .
had to edit a hole bunch of posts with find and replace in DW.
the thing is , the images where moved, but the paths were´nt updated.
I think, it depends of server and forum. Many do well, but some get problems updating

It should be correct.
Let me know if it is working fine.
P.S.: sorry for the delay in answering, but I was on holidays and then very busy.
