SOLVED change forum redirect/url?

Subject: change forum redirect/url?
Can i ask one question.

I have recently had a major issue with my server and decided to restart with a fresh install of IP, yep i have went with 2.0 Beta 1 and it is awsome. The question i have is when i type my website the top providing i am logged in it takes me

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/Forum/forum.php

I want it such that when i type in www.scotbird.co.uk, it goes to

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/Forum/index.php ( HOME )

can i ask where i change to make this happen.

Sorry if this isnt the right place to ask this.

regards

While it isn't my place to Mini-Moderate. :mrgreen:

Andy,

You've been around long enough to know that "Icy 2.0 Beta 1" Is not a question?

Change forum.php to index.php would be more appropriate.

:?

Try,

Search: change forum.php to index.php

Hey !

Open includes/constants.php
Find
Code: [Download] [Hide]
  1. define('CMS_LOGIN_REDIRECT_PAGE', CMS_PAGE_HOME);

Replace it with
Code: [Download] [Hide]
  1. define('CMS_LOGIN_REDIRECT_PAGE', CMS_PAGE_FORUM);

You're done !

Imformpro -- Thanks alot mate

Mort -- I was told by admin to ask the question in the general section

Subject: Re: change forum redirect/url?
Why not just add,

Code: [Download] [Hide] [Select]
DirectoryIndex forum.php

to your ".htaccess" ;) Would work better.

I think you are talking about different things.

InformPro is suggesting a redirect after login, while you (Hans) a redirect to be pointed if you don't use any filename in the URL... it depends on what Andy is really looking for!

Thanks Guys

Used the redirect as suggested

I must admit I'm quite suprised that this is what you wanted but I'll mark the first post as solved for you, next time please use the button for that (in stead of adding "solved" to the last post), thanks in advance :wink:

I also changed the topic name as Mort suggested (because he 's right), I was hoping you would do that yourself TBH :oops: .. If you can think of a better title feel free to change it again :wink:

Greetings,
