Post New Install

I must be a dumb admin, but I'm trying to install Icy Phoenix and its got me stumped at the most basic of levels.

I have downlaoded Icy Phoenix 13053
Unzipped
uploaded via FTP to a brand new host
changed the permissions on most of the files to 0777 (cant find cache/cms and last 6 log files)
I go into install/install.php (via the file manager)... and nothing

I get 2 seconds of a install wizard...but nothing afterwards

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.and I'm sorry for being so dumb (but I learn quick)

Andrew

Welcome to Icy Phoenix Andrew!

Can you please explain further your issue?

Do you get a blank page? Do you get some errors?

Did you try to contact your hosting asking for support?

Hello,
I run windows 7, so I get a dialog box asking whether to run or save, so I run.... a box appears for 1/2 second and then nothing.......i have disables firewall and virus on my PC in case..still nothing

no blank page, no errors, no obvious script running.

will run by the host when they wake up, but at this stage I thought it was far more basic that that, I thought I had maybe done the CHMOD wrong but I've checked that, uninstalled, reinstalled files... I am wondering if it is becuase I am accessing the install/install.php file via the control panel file manager?

You should make sure files are uploaded correctly, then you should type the address in the browser.

Please, try again.
