I think it goes like this:

I have to add a Infolinks code in the source code icyphoenix

Copy & paste right before the closing </ body> tag at the end of your code

i would put it in the footer.tpl

This is working in all templates and you dont have to care about it by doing updates.

i added the code after GOOGLE_ANALYTICS it but nothing happens and I did like 30 min ago

I tried with internet explorer and it works.

Regarding TheSteffen's remark about loosing edits after updating:
Maybe you can even add the code in ACP where the analitics code is entered if you don't want to use the "Ads & Sponsors".

I haven't tested but it might work and then the edits would also be in the DB instead of in the tpl's.
