SQL ip_config is currently: site_desc varchar(255)

If you need it longer change it to varchar(500)

If you are talking about making the input box longer - There shouldn't be any need to do that.

The length of the text is controlled by the varchar in the database for site_desc, that's if MG hasn't also put a charlimit on it in the php script. And that's what you need to change.

Other than that you could hard-code the text in the header by removing {SITE_DESCRIPTION} and writing/formatting your text in place of it.

Unfortunately it's not easy to change that DB field.

May I ask why you need a longer value?

I mean... there are other way to display a longer text... I wouldn't change the config table just for that.

Maybe you can just add a text string in lang file and use that lang var in template... which easier and won't harm anything else.
