 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
Hello Lopalong,
Like i said the user is the boss. If a user has i6, (licensed or not licensed operating system) and the user charge your page and see that the charge is bad, the user go away. If you think that the user going to update, you are wrong.
I work in informatic services, and i have seen a lot of users(with licensed o.s.) that have ie6, because he know it well and like it, and this users dont like it ie7 or firefox...etc.
I am attempt to trasmit that the users are very tradicional and the freaks are we...
A lot of home people not understand this things, and dont go to update...althoug you put a link to update like this:
If you dont update to ie7 or firefox, you will dead

That´s your users problem then.
I don´t think that somebody is going to make an IE6 patch for his templates

What you need to realise is that IE6 is dead, finished, kaput, and NO longer supported - And if your users / visitors / die hard IE6 users haven't got the brains to realise that IE6 is "Yesterdays Code" and is NOT compatible with with "Today's Coding" Then they deserve everything that they get.
I feel I can speak for all theme-makers and coders here (Or anywhere else for that matter) - If you want to run with IE6 for any reason whatsoever, then you had better become a Whiz with browsers and backward html coding - Because NOBODY else is interested in catering for your problem.

No, as I said they deserve what they get. But do spare us the whining about what you think your users / visitors should be entitled to have; when the coding standards of today are a lot different from the days of "htm" and Windows IE6.

Widdow!
Trust you to pick up on that before I corrected it.
But I suppose that it does really suit to some degree - Only the widow in this case is the one that's dead.
Much like IE6

 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
Hello again,
Please, be patient with my englis, is very bad. I am sorry in advance is anyone be offended, this is not my intentions.
That´s your users problem then.

Ok, I understand. But this is a error. Do you like lost users?
What you need to realise is that IE6 is dead, finished, kaput, and NO longer supported - And if your users / visitors / die hard IE6 users haven't got the brains to realise that IE6 is "Yesterdays Code" and is NOT compatible with with "Today's Coding" Then they deserve everything that they get.

I dont agre with your afirmation of ie6 is dead. Please, see your statistics. Do you want show you my statistics of this year?
From 13 january of 2009 to 13 august:
Internet explorer 7.0 Visits: 211.385 59,30%
Internet explorer 6.0 Visits: 108.130 30,33%
Internet explorer 5.5 230 0,06% -----------> yes, it is dead.
108.130 users is no problem of users, is a big problem for a webmaster, because a webmaster that use a template not compatible with ie6, lost this users.
Dead? I am sure that still is alive.
But i understand, that the today code is imcompatible with the yesterday code.
The problem is that 2 weeks ago, this template is charging good with ie6, but not now.

 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
That´s why.
ElPulgas said strictly not to install both themes together. or one or the other.
I think he explained that in Knekz dark. They are not compatible with each other.
Uninstall both themes .
Delet the one you don´t want to use from your site and install the other one new.
Tell me what happens
No Spydie, you got me wrong. Both styles can be run simultaneusly. I just said if you were to install Dark you had to replace the blue images. That's not importnat anymore since both topics have the same file with both templates updated. Unfortunately I don't know why but I can't see any screenshot, text whatsoever explaining the problem with two templates installed.
About IE6....what can I say. I only know of 3 computers that still use it and they were all in my school. I tried to make it Ie6 compatible but it's support for CSS is so poor I got tired of it and IE8 came out so I thought no one would use less than 7 anymore.
I'm sorry Portalpez but I think this style won't be the best for your site if almost 50% of your visits are with IE6. I think those statistics are very strange but what can I do.
Search Google for "project no Ie6 support". You will get things like this:
http://mashable.com/2009/08/04/ie6-no-more/
I'm sorry but it's true, IE6 is an old story.

 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
Try putting the embed banner found here http://www.ie6nomore.com/code-samples.html on your site. It should improve thigs and when you see your statistics have changed you can think of using a different template.

 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
Yes, please. Do you get a blank page? Did you install it just for your account or for everyone? Such kind of things would be good. Oh and also a link if you can. I hope we can fix it.
@Portalpez
I already saw the page in IE6. It's a mess just like in the screenshot you send me. I'll have a look at the things I changed and check what is causing the problem.

 Re: KnekZ Blue For 1.3
Well I can see it working on FF 3.5 and IE7. The only problem is the side navigation. It doesn't show right. But besides that big issue the site works fine. You use the CMS for the menu, right? Because I still have to edit the dyn menu block.
