Nice!

Does that mean I can stop worrying about themes now and just let you guys get on with it ?.

Then I'll use your themes - But beware, I'm really fussy about the quality and functions of the themes I use.

:mricy:

Edit:

Hey Jogge,

I had a look at all the themes live at your site - Very nice. 8)

But these three have the same problems that "The_Widescreen" had with IE and alignment of the same-location images.

The_Blackgrey
The_Greylight
The_Light_Green

And seriously at 1024x768 resolution most of them are far too wide, as only about three quarters of the page is visible without scrolling sideways. And IMHO 1024x768 should be the base dimensions for all styles. :(

Hey Lopalong,

Thank for that you had a look at all the themes on my site.

As i say to you before i am a dummy when it´s go to coding.

I am not shure how i can fix this with the 1024x768 resolution, so that the themes look OK.

And i think i have some problem with the logo to.

I don´t say that you shall look at this to me, i think you have helpt me alot with my stuff.

BUT  if you are intressed and have the time i will be more that happy if you can.

Don´t think it is some ide to go on wiht creating more before this i have now is 100%.

Big thanks again, Lopalong

First thing to consider is that you need to reduce the width of this.. 1230px needs to be something more like 980px. ;)

Done, have changes the width of the logo to 980 px.

From what I can see your width problems are .css

In the .css find these two ID's

#global-wrapper
#top_logo

Make them both - width:980px; (fixed) OR 98% (fluid)

As far as the header banners - you could also try to hide the overflow.

And to be honest, I have not looked at RC2 themes yet and didn't intend to until the release of the stable version. As I consider it to be a waste of time until MG stops "playing".

Think you are right about the themes and don´t make them finish.
And what for the new and finish release of RC.

Thanks again Lopalong

PS. have changes in css. and make them 98% but still the logo look funny.

Zip up a copy of any one of the themes that is giving you the most trouble, and include a full-width header with it.

PM me a link, and I'll have a look at it. ;)

Edit:

Thanks, I've got your PM and here's a fix for 1024x768.

And let me explain something for the benefit of all.

You can't add single header images over the width of 980px and expect the style to resolve to 1024x768 and also expand to higher resolutions.

What you need to do for that is to cut the image into three and give each piece a div class and let the .css handle it.

And I am of course referring to "Full Bordered Images". :P

Left <-> Centre <-> Right

And for that with RC2 onward, you will need to copy the default/overall_header.tpl to the new style folder, and edit that overall_header.tpl.
;)

PS: @ jogge, the gif in the .zip may be a bit grainy - so you may have to redo it.

Edit 2:

I made a DOC out of your cut graphics and changed files for variable width's etc here ->
