Post Make A Style

Hi

Since it has been some time since I was here last, I have unfortunately forgotten most when it comes to creating themes for IcyPhoenix.
So now I wonder what is the best to start with.

Is there a good template that can be used for this?
Is there a good guide to use?

Are grateful for any suggestions.
Will be fun to see what I can do ..

Thanks

Jogge

Hey,

I'm not sure if we have a tutorial for that. I guess you should start off the theme you want to "derive" and change the css and image files. You shouldn't need to change the .tpl files :).

Best tip I can provide is download all styles available and have a look at their structure.

Most of the styles only has different CSS and images... this means that you can create a brand new style just by editing the CSS and create few images.

Few styles also have a different header and footer... and only one has a lot of different files because of its different semantic (which is proSilver).

Anyway, let me know in case you need any help.

@MG: I need to take a look at proSilver, maybe I can adapt phpBB2 or phpBB3 really easily thanks to that? That'd be oh-so-amazing. I doubt it, but still!

It seems like you managed how to solve that.

For similar cases I would suggest to use the "Inspect Element" feature that both Chrome and Firefox have.
