French/Français Translation - Contribute Anything
Hello everyone,
I am currently working on translating IP 1.2.0.27. If anyone would like to help, or already has some of the files translated, please post in here and we can put them together.
If you are working on the RC version, please mention it as well, still haven't looked at what changed in the language pack for it myself.
If we can get the translations finished, I'd like to open a French support site for it. Or even as soon as we get enough of us dedicated to translating it.
I am currently PM'ing the other members of this site who have inquired about a french translation.
We can use as much help as possible.
Hans

Yes, Informpro seems to be translating the RC right now.
Still waiting to hear from the others.
Thanks for adding me to translators.

Steffan, you seem to know translations, and are on right now. I just tried to upload my so far translated bit, to a demo board. The strings are wrong, question I have, can you put " or ' into the sentences/phrases? Kuka's post doesn't make any sense on that part, the wrong/right example are the same.

Re: French/Français Translation - Contribute Anything
Yes we are working together, each are doing different files.
1. /* wrong */
2. $lang['who_is'] = 'Who's there?';
1. /* right */
2. $lang['who_is'] = 'Who's there?';
Isn't that incorrect then?^^

Re: French/Français Translation - Contribute Anything
Oh sorry, I thought you was talking about quotation marks.
You can use " or ` or ´ -> but not '
So this should be
1. /* right */
2. $lang['who_is'] = 'Who`s there?';
Or $lang['who_is'] = 'Who´s there?';
Someone correct me, if I am wrong.

Re: French/Français Translation - Contribute Anything
Why must you hi-jack my topic for that?
We will be revising all of it afterwards to make sure it's to the french standards, Movizdb is native french so that helps a lot.
You are working on RC, I am working on Stable version.
Hope you can set up a support for sure, plenty of people really seem to be interested in a french release.

Yes, that is right... thanks for this. This is the best way to work with such things.
You all should work together... it is much faster. And 6 eyes see more than 2
.27 and the last RC are almost the same... RC has some extra stuff to translate.
Work together, that will safe time
