Post SECURITY - How To Implement Anonymizer On Icy Phoenix

Hi guys, I've been looking for the way to do this, just like other systems.

Well, now I have the solution:

1) Edit this code, in the "myIcyphoenix.com" part, replacing the content for your url:

Code: [Download] [Hide]
  1. </script>
  2. <script src="http://no.teamseriestv.com/anonym.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  3.
  4. <script type="text/javascript"><!--
  5. protected_links = "myIcyphoenix.com";
  6.
  7. auto_anonymize();
  8. //--></script>

2) After, you must put this code into footer.tpl, the one that uses your template.

You can put the code to the end, right after:

Code: [Download] [Hide]
  1. <span><a name="bottom"></a></span>

Ps. You can add as many websites you dont want to anonymize in the protected_links part, like this:
"myIcyphoenix.com, google.com, whatever.com"

Bye

Post Update For Version 1.2.0.27

Thanks to obus3000 for his post on How To Implement Anonymizer On IcyPhoenix. I tried this on my site with no joy, but i think it maybe 2 different site versions.

<script src="http://js.anonym.to/anonym/anonymize.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
protected_links = "http://www.yourwebsitehere.net";

auto_anonymize();
//--></script>

Copy n Paste the code above thats bold, (remember to change the address in protected_links to your home page) into each of the files below:

overall_footer.tpl
overall_footer_bl.tpl
overall_footer_mg.tpl
overall_footer_mx.tpl
overall_footer_sc.tpl
overall_footer_ss.tpl

The files are located via ACP/Styles & Templates/Edit Templates/MG themes

Thats all i did and it works fine now. Hope this helps

This is very interesting to know and i have 2 questions:

1.  want to make sure i understand it correctly.   by doing this to my site, it'll protect my users' personal information who visit my website?

This scripts impliments a proxy for off-site links. This will hide your site from being the refferer in the off-site's logs. This will also hide your users IP address from the off-site site.

I do not understand your question. However, the speed increase is negligible, I recommend you use only the code provided.
