Icy Phoenix

Hi, I just downloaded Icy Phoenix and so far it works great.

I just have one question (or two, you decide):
How do you add someone to the Administrator usergroup? I know where to change the usergroup (in the profile) but it only shows the User usergroup. Do I have to open the Administrator usergroup in order to add someone?

ACP - Users - Permissions

there you select the user you want to ad to Admin

Observe User

On top it says select user group.

Just change that to Admin and press submit

I did that before but it did not add the user to the Administrator group.

than go to


ACP - Users - junior admin.

selct your user

and give him all the permissions you want.

If that does not work, you probably got a Chmod problem

He probably created an administrator usergroup, but did not add that user to the administrator usergroup. That user is probably listed as an administrator via the ACP, but if you want to show him in the administrator usergroup, you must add him to that group too.

That is what I've been trying to do. He shows up as an Admin in the ACP, but when I edit their profile, it only shows the User usergroup, but how do I add the person to the usergroup? (I am using the default Administrator usergroup, I didn't make a new one)

I found where to do it, in the Userlist area. But shouldn't there be an item in the groups section that resembles "Add User to Group"? Or am I just not seeing it?

When you enter the groupcp.php page, you should see your list of usergroups along with a link named "View Information."

After clicking that link, there is a field at the bottom that you can type in users to add.
