Cookie Domains are best left empty (unless it's absolutely necessary) and let the browser cache the domain path.
If it is or there are sub-domains - make the cookie path ./ to include sub-domains also.
That's been my experience, with what can be a troublesome area. :mryellow:
[solved] Cookie Problem
Subject: Re: [solved] Cookie Problem
Hya Mort, I couldn't agree more there mate 8)
The reason why I am configuring the current forum is that I will have 2 separate forums powered by IP. and some members will have an interest in both sites so don't want cookie conflicts due to visiting both sites.
The other site is still on integra whilst I learn IP but will in time convert it over to IP.
Ill probably leave the cookie settings as they are as default on the other site so I don't get any conflicts.
I probably wont get conflicts as they are both on different domain name, just being cautious as I don't fully understand how cookies work.
It is a bit confusing as I talk about 2 different sites in other threads, but is simple really.
The site I'm currently working on with all the question is a new site which I'm using as a testing ground with being new to IP, I also have a couple of admin on from my other site so they can also get to grips with the new ACP etc. so once I'm happy I can then convert the other site over to IP.
I have about 1500 members on there and 7 years worth of threads, so using the test site to learn on first :mryellow:
