Icy Phoenix

The favicon of the site where is installed phpBB XS or Icy Phoenix is only visible with FireFox, while (mentre spero di aver azzeccato la traduzione :P) the favicon isn't visible on Internet Explorer 6 or 7 and similar browser (I use Avant Browser).


Can I solve this problem??

I think it is related on how the favicon is specified... and I think also that IE7 should support favicons... :roll:

It doesn't exist only FireFox..........


Avant Browser is full compatible with Favicon...

I do not know about IE 7, but with IE 6 ---- I find that I must bookmark the page before the favicon appears.
And too, if I already have the page bookmarked and the favicon does not appear, I can sometimes delete the bookmark and then create a new bookmark to get the favicon to appear

Yes.. IE 6 has this problem with bookmars becaus it save the favicon file in browser's cache

But the url's favicon is always visible..

An Example:

Hi

Delete your site in bookmark .....
delete cache in IE and bookmark again
and shut down your PC ......
so i have get my favicon for my side in IE

It could depend also to the code used to include the favicon.
