What would be the easiest way for me to change templates?

I am using an older style that is no longer supported and I want to replace it with a new one that is up to date

However I do have a lot of mods added and if I try to switch to the new style I get:

General Error
Template path could not be found: styles/black_pearl/template

The template IS there but it won’t do anything with it....as per error

I(s there some way to do this rather than having to completely recode the board?

I also have a database that has a lot of members and posts that I just can’t lose

I’d really appreciate a solution to get this ne template to function

I currently have Divine Black installed but it is not being updated or supported so I need to get a new template that is. I like this look and the fact that it has a nice portal that is made for it also.

I’m thinking that I need to redo all my mods on a new board using that template first and then transfer it to my main board before I can switch the templates since I have a lot of database SQL added too and so to match the old site I need to add all I had done before.

Are you using FullyModded XL5 or Board 3? I was able to convert Black Pearl to work with FullyModded XL5. What's the link to your site? I can take a look and see if it can work for you.

I am using a plain ver 304 that I mod myself

I an now taking the base Black Pearl template and starting to re-add all my mods and once that is completed I will add the portal

I was using that Carver portal but the gut abandoned it and there are a lot of problems with it, so I decided to switch. I like the Divine Black theme I am using but that too, is no longer supported. So I want to get a theme that will be around in case something breaks or I need some advise in coding something a bit differently.

I'm guessing this belongs in phpBB3 MODS and Styles.
