Post 500 Internal Server Error

Yes I searched for solutions but surprisingly found 0 results.
Anyways, whenever I go to my site I get a 500 internal server error. Before it showed up every once in a while, recently it got very annoying and now it just blockaded the whole site. What's strange is that I can go to other pages like forum.php, and index.php is the only page that's not working. I don't understand what could be causing this problem. Does anyone have an idea? It can't be chmod because it worked before and only showed up once in a while, you just had to refresh it couple of time and till work but now it doesnt. Need help!
Thank you,
-Ed

Alright then.... but what do you think could have caused this still. It only used to happen sometimes, not always, and only on one page...

I think, as New Player suggests, that are hosting issues...
Try to ask to your hosting helpdesk.

Your Server LOG should tell you why the request was refused - Please look at it and post the info here.

What it the current CHMOD status of these five elements at your website?

/Your forum Folder.

forum.php

index.php

/includes folder

/templates folder

?

Thank you, as that answers most of the problems.

The .htaccess file that comes with Icy Phoenix was never designed to run it the root of the Public Folder. Neither was it meant to be added to or edited by your cPanel settings etc.

You have two options to help prevent these niggling problems in future.

1. Move the forum software to its own folder  "your Site"/Your Forum/ - Which is easy to do if done properly - Then put a redirect in from *.com to *.com/your forum if you need to address your forum directly from the .com etc.

2. Else rename .htaccess to backup.htaccess the next time you have any sort of problems and you will probably find it will fix most of them when they are of this nature.

I did the htaccess thing (cant really move, my structure will break and its a pain fixing it)
but I get CBACK being an idiot now.

SECURITY ALERT » » » »
CBACK CrackerTracker has detected a potential attack on this site with a worm or exploit script so the Security System stopped the script.

If you can see this page after including a new MOD into your board or after clicking on a link please contact the Board Administrator with this error message and a description what you have done before you could see this page, that the Admin has the possibility to fix the problem.

How do I turn that thing off...

Please! One problem per thread in future unless they are directly related.

And The "docs section" is there to be read as well.

They are related. Read up.
Edit: Tried the manual. Didn't work. It says the same error again. However, I did this for another page once, and it worked. Strange?

I suggest that you move all your forum files/folders to a folder of its own, as indicated in the installation instructions.

*sigh* you sure there is no other way? or maybe another way to deal with crackertracker? Because moving the whole thing will cause a lot of structure problems, and fixing them will be a real pain and I might not always find all of them right away. I really don't want to move =

There are probably other ways to overcome the cTracker problem, but I don't know about anyone else who gives support here - But I'm a little tired of trying to "Fix" things when IP hasn't been installed as per the instructions.

There always seem to be issues because of this, and need not have been created in the first place, had IP been installed properly.
