Icy Phoenix

How can i do it?

i have to convert to phpbb 2.0.x and then upgrade to IP or i have to convert to phpbb 3.0.x and then to IP?

The phpbb 2.0 is more easy to converter IPB....

And another question, if i want to install a WYSIWYG editor in IP, can i do it?

In answer to your first question you need to convert to phpbb2 and then to Icy Phoenix...

Regarding wysiwyg editor... there are couple (I believe) mods for phpbb2 that will do this but you have to install them...

you can also use Xinha which is a firefox add on which does exactly the same and allows you to use it in any text box... but only if html is allowed...

The wysiwyg for Icy Phoenix... is bbcode but it can be used in so many different ways that the need for a html wysiwyg is not really necessary...

and i have to intall in the same DB or can i update it in a second DB but in the same server that phpbb isn´t in?

About the editor, all mods to phpbb2 are for IP too?

i liked the bbcodes, but the cool is the text instantly ready... you select bold, for example, and i see the text bolded in live, but it´s not anything emergencial...

no you have to use the same database unless you are good with mysql but it would be easier to use the same one

yes you can use any phpbb mod for icy... but with the new release there are quite a few changes to be made to any phpbb2 mod

thanks brother... When the new release have been available i´ll download it... I don´t know if i´m crazy but i have the sensation that this style in phpbb normal isn´t too cool but here in Icy Phoenix, with these lot of mods, the style is very beautifull :mrgreen:
