Post Knowledge Base Issues With Latest Release

Hi Guys,

I am in the process of building my new site, ( basically transfering old icy version to new with a few changes ).

I have a knowledge base that works well in my live site , however when i install the new version ( upgrade ) , when ever i click on the knowledge base article

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/Forum/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=2

i get a blank page with a message like

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/Forum/argaty-kba2.html

the original way if i paste this in address bar works fine.

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/Forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=6

Its the same for all other KB articles.

The rest of my site if fine and working very well. Before i can release it as a live version i need to correct this.

How can i correct this issue ?

My live site is

http://www.scotbird.co.uk/ScotBird_...?mode=cat&cat=4

If you need to log on then there is a restricted test acount:-

User - test
Pass - test

I am now pulling my hair out, virtually bauld now !!

It looks like you have URL Rewrite enabled in the ACP, but is it enabled in your .htaccess file?

Open: ip_root/.htaccess

FIND:

Code: [Download] [Hide] [Select]
RewriteEngine On
#This may cause issues with subdirs and so it is not enabled by default.
#RewriteBase /

REPLACE WITH:

Code: [Download] [Hide] [Select]
RewriteEngine On
#This may cause issues with subdirs and so it is not enabled by default.
RewriteBase /

Is that selfstanding or an IP mod?

cause $php.ex has changed to PHP_EXT

and aswell define(IN_PHPBB) is now define(IN_ICYPHOENIX)

could it be that you got that error?

Spydie, if that was the case it would be more that knowledge base and my gallery affected.

Chaotic, Yes on in ACP and on in .htaccess.

Switching it off fixes it, any ideas why that is ?

Anyone else any ideas ?

sounds more like your server has not got url rewrite turned on... might need to check with them
