From PUNBB 1.2.x To ICP

Hello everybody,
I have a forum powered with punbb 1.2.4 and, now that french language files are available (thanks to the translators), i'd like to move to Icy Phoenix.
I search infos on local forum and on the web, and it seems move is not really simple

- i should move to phpbb2
- then move to phpbb3
- then move to icp
- then make work having to be done after transfer
More, i'd like to keep users passwords as described on phpbb forums

Wouldn't it be possible to imagine a conversion tool to enable webmasters to make the move in only one step ?
if it doesn't exist and/or will not exist so soon, would it be possible to find somebody able to help me for rather basic costs ?

i tried a search directly from search engines .... unsuccessful too, no how-to to find here or anywhere else.

The right procedure to update is this (provided the right convertors are available and working):

Convert from PUNBB to phpBB 2
Upgrade phpBB 2 to Icy Phoenix
Edit the login procedure to allow usage of PUNBB passwords

If you are willing to have a try on a local testing environment we are pleased to help for free.

If you want someone doing that for you... it's your choice.

Thanks for that answer, i did not understand the move to ICP was from PHPBB2, that seems ok now.

Ok - Ip.fr is still open ! This is really a surprise because I'm not the owner of the domain (was the host, who "disappear"), so I'm happy to have it working LOL ^^.

I will do a db backup and buy a icyphoenix-fr.com (I don't know when ip.fr will end ... I can't rebuy a new year, the host "disappear").

I will release a IcyPhoenix Pack with with buttons ! Anyway, you can find it here

I think that will do it,
I hoped there was a direct way to import data.
I gave the punbb2phpbb2 a try, it works good, except language preference of users are not kept.
I did not try the phpbb2icy import yet.
I'll come back if i stumble

i just tried phpbb to ip conversion.
database_update.php goes through, users and topics conversion seems ok but posts conversions wont work (punbb to phpbb 2023 works good)

IP tables were created by the database_update.php script.
After conversion, users and topics are present in new tables but posts table is empty.

ip tables are created during the migration process.
error in post import is "+++ Erreur: Unknown column 't.post_text_compiled' in 'field list' " means to me import script asks for a column called t.post_text_compiled which seems not to be present in phpbb2 posts table.

IP script converts PhpBB2 tables to IP tables

Alter is convert/change table. No new table just created.
