BlackPearl- How To Add A Line Above The Forums
Hiya, I am using the BlackPearl template with great pleasure, however I'd like to know if it is possible to add an announcement above the forums.
I.e. if there is some news or I need to link somewhere, I'd like a "news' line above all forums.
I made a (very amateurish) image of what i mean.
Thnx in advance!

Re: BlackPearl- How To Add A Line Above The Forums
I just had the same request on Icy Phoenix Italian
You can use the block "Ads & Sponsors" ACP/CMS/Ads & Sponsors/
1) Enabled position: Forum Index Top and save
2) Add Ad: Enter a title, position: Forum Index Top, add the html and css code that I'm giving and save.
Code:
<style>
#news_board {
background: #0000000;
text-align: left;
border: #3C3C3C solid 2px;
font-size: 12px;
margin-top: 4px;
color: #FF0000;
font-style: italic;
font-weight: bold;
margin-bottom: 4px;
padding:4px;
max-height: 200px;
overflow:auto;
}
</style>
<div id="news_board">
This is our poster for important announcements.
</div>
Result:
Regards.

Re: BlackPearl- How To Add A Line Above The Forums
Guess that leaves me to answer this
Hi CreyZ,
Welcome to IcyPhoenix, please next time you post a question post it in the phpbb section (where this post is now) ..thanks in advance
Now first of all I would like to advice you to update your phpbb version to the latest (3.08) and also your style (in this case black pearl 1.6.4)
For your real question ...
Go to phpbb.com and search the modification database for the announcements mod ..download and install it (you can view the link in my sig to see if this is what you mean and want because I happen to have that one installed)
Greetings,
...Joshua203

@Spydie I know the feeling, maybe I should have jumped in sooner but I didn't
@CreyZ feel free to post back if there's anything you can not find by yourself and I will find and post the exact links for you.
This mod can even do a little more than you searched for ... good luck
EDIT: PS .. I expect that you will have some questions when you try intalling this mod so I will leave this thread unsolved for a while so you can post them here
