SOLVED I Want To Remove " Post A Reply " Box

Subject: I Want To Remove " Post A Reply " Box
Hello,
I use the Black Pearl theme, I added the quick reply box and now i have two boxes for the quick reply :D
and i will choose to remove the "Post a reply" one instead of the "Quick Reply" because I added BBCodes to the quick reply while the other don't contain any of it....
So please anyone can help? Thanks

Hi again Tremendous,

I have a feeling you added an old mod for phpbb 3.0.0 but i don t see a link to either the mod or your board to view

this one maybe?

as you can see this is updated last loooooong time ago and not for the latest phpbb version

Usually when you have problems with an installed mod you should ask questions in the mod developers thread (and/or read the release thread very carefully for known problems) ..because they would know best what this mod does exactly

IMHO it would be easier to add bbcodes to the included quick reply in phpbb 3.0.8 and I even dare to asume that there is a more up to date solution for this in the database at phpbb.com

It's quite hard to give advice on this without installing it myself to see what it does exactly (like if it is added in ACP to handle settings and how)

Have you tried to disable the original phpbb 3.0.8 Quick Reply in ACP already?

Thanks Joshua,
It is 3.0.8 sure this time :D
I tried to remove the quick reply from ACP but i got an error in the topics
so i will remove the "Quick Reply" modification and come back to tell you what happened

Please always remember that taking a full backup BEFORE installing a mod (or changing anything for whatever reason) will save you from wasting time removing the mod manually

full meaning database and forum

It is all good now and for anyone who face this problem later
I removed the "Advanced Quick Reply" modification and i left "bbcode_buttons_for_3.0.6_quick_reply_1_1_0" as it is
and the result is one "Quick Reply" box containing bbcodes and this is all what i need....
Thanks Joshua

Personally I would have investigated the newer mods available (I noticed there's many to pick form on a quick search), but if this works for you then who am I to argue

You can hit the "solved tittle edit" if a post is solved (this time I will do it for you  )

http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/f...uick+reply-sc_1

things that look intresting and more up to date in this simple search:
http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/prime_quick_reply
http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/full_quick_reply_editor
http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/m...for_quick_reply

keep in mind I'm not advising what's best because I simply don't know, it's up to you to pick what's best

EDIT:
Make sure to read under the discussions/support tab of each mod to read about problems or post questions  (I think I noticed all of these three links are open for support...if locked there may be a good reason why it's no longer supported!)
