maybe you can post a link to the examples (especially the failing one!) or post the failing code you created so one of us can take a look?

well at a first view I'ld say check the image url again... i get "The address you have requested is not available on this server. You may have misspelled the address, or what you are looking for may have been removed."

If it is really there without any doubt try checking the properties of the directory the image is in.

Thank you again Joshua

Well it would be best to upgrade because the old version will be unsupported, maybe you could check if you did all the upgrade steps correctly before you revert.

anyway... you re welcome

No didnt work if i right click on where the picture is meant to be and get the page info up i get this

Code: [Download] [Hide] [Select]
http://www.chat-haven.co.uk/image_thumbnail.php?pic_id=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chat-haven.co.uk%2Ffiles%2Fthumbs%2F2%2Fweblogo.png

Also it says 1. that its a JPEG and 2. the dimensions 0px × 0px (scaled to 44px × 15px)

should i change the permissions on the picture at the moment they are 644

I think 644 on the image should be just fine, I have the same on a test install (somewhat outdated but that should not matter too much) ... http://winmx.exofire.net/IP/EF/file...df83c7c2a7b.gif
as you can see it shows up

After searching in old support topics I came across this thread:
http://www.icyphoenix.com/viewtopic...ges+show#p49086
Maybe it helps?
Otherwise I hope someone with a clue jumps in

The reason that you are getting all that is because it appears that you have uploaded the "link" images using "Icy Phoenix Upload File" - which creates a thumbnail in .jpg format.

For what you are trying to do, with V2, I would create a folder images/sponsors and upload the image with FTP and then link to that.

In other words: http://www.chat-haven.co.uk/images/sponsors/weblogo.png

Re Chmodd: Folders these are are mostly ALL 775 as 777 is rarely used any more, images and text 644 unless the text file needs to be writeable (666) - Just a rough guide.
