Post Merge 2 Databases

Is there a way to merge two databases?

The main admin of our forum decided to move to another server. The old forum was hosted on forumup.it and used phpbb 2. In a few weeks forumup.it should release a backup tool, which will allow us to download the database. In the meantime we have started a new forum on the new server. This new forum has phpBB XS. When the backup tool will become available, will we be able to merge the two databases?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much.

I've found a merging script designed specifically for phpbb here (third post). Although it's not "just click Merge" it seems to work and to be not too difficult to use.

Thank you anyway.
