There is a setting in ACP for that.

I know there is a option for that, but I did not know if it counted the nested quotes, or only nested ots or both at a time

BTW, there sould be a way to limit the number of nested returns. what about 10 nested returns (it should exclude mods and admins)

It is already working in that way... the counter counts only nested tags.

There is no need to allow admins to add more than X nested quotes... it is a layout problem not a problem of just a limit.

I was refering to the number of consecutive returns, not to the ot and quote tags.

I think a user could try yo overload the db and the server bu posting too many consecutive returns with no other text, so perhaps there should be a swich to avoid that restricting the number of returns on lines with no text on them with should not affect to mods or admins.

EDIT:
Opps, wrong account. It is the same what happend to somebody when is logged in as So**** both in a new thread and the shoutbox.

Did you see this code in bbcode.php?

Code: [Hide] [Select]
// do not process tag if it requires too much recursion
if($level > 12 && (!$tag_closing && !$tag_self_closing))
{
$tag_valid = false;
}

I think it is time to get my tests back to my localhost now I solved the problem around apache-php connectivity.

@MG: Nope. I think I have to look at the code again. It is the school thing, I have no even time.

Thanks to the gods this month is full of free days!
