Does anyone know of a mod that can be added to IP to be able to have a trouble ticket system? I run a support system and would like to have the system so if a user has an issue they can request a support ticket and then it will go to the user database and send out a notice to members that have proper knowledge of the items and how to fix the issues? This would be added to the forum appose to a complete seperate system for doing this.

Is there a MOD like this already available for phpBB*2 ?

If yes, Then maybe it could be converted.

If No, Put it on a wish list.

In the meantime, you could try a different approach.

Create a "support" forum and edit the permissions to "SELF." This allows only administrators to view new topics/posts in the specific forum. It also allows the topic author to view the topic. The topic author will not see topics from other users in the forum. They will see only their topic.

Either way, this topic doesn't belong in the General Support forum.

Moving to English Chit-Chat.

That would work for basic use, but I am looking for being able to run reports on how many calls a tech might do and such. Will check on PHPBB and see if they have something around.

cBack made something that resembles what you are asking about, but for data reports to be generated as to who answered what etc, is probably a little more than one could expect from a MOD for phpBB

to list who answered what just creat accounts for each employee and give mod powers to your employees ONLY.

Good idea. You could also add some quick titles that would allow your moderators to close and mark the topics "CLOSED BY -whoever-". I use this sometimes on my board and it works.

Also it needs to edit php code to prevent trashing/moving/mergering/splitting and set the edit level to admins, so his employees will not modify the users posts.

You can add a "Assisted by %mod% - " quick title.

Note ONLY one quick title can be active at a time.
