How do I change the background color to an image? by background I mean what's on the left and right of the forums area.

I've searched here and on the Frozen Phoenix site for instructions but I've found numberless posts on other styles, I've tried editing the colours.css with what other threads suggested, uploaded the image with ftp to images folder, refreshed the theme/template on cp and nothing changed.

Is Frozen Phoenix so much different than other styles that what works for others doesn't work for Frozen Phoenix?

Hi,

I'll try to answer – even if I don't know too much about styles...

The style I use in my day-to-day use of IP is Floreal. To change the background, it's in style_floreal.css, the body { background: ...; } part.

For Frozen Phoenix (style cyan), it's in style_cyan.css, the body { background-color: ... }; (line 8) defines how it is displayed.

Did you find the line to change?

This should be the part you are looking for:
OPEN templates/icy_phoenix/style_cyan.css
FIND
Code: [Hide] [Select]
body {
background-color: #e8eef8;
